I got to know Candie and Dan last summer as we shared some drinks at the W Hotel and chatted about their plans for their wedding(s)… and I say it plurally because this was not their first… they also had a wedding celebration in Candie’s home country of India… and although my efforts to convince them to pack me in their suitcase didn’t work, I know they had a blast celebrating on the other side of the world incorporating Candie’s family traditions!… we got to know each other even more during their engagement session last fall during a beautiful crisp day and lots of sunlight.. I can say this, that from the couple of hours we spent together walking around, they are super cute together… Candie is bright and bubbly, you can tell she’s been planning her dream wedding for a while now, with all of the details in place… and Dan embraces her in a quiet way… pensive, and goes with the flow… they balance each other out perfectly…

Now onto the big day, the very first wedding of the year for me, a calm and beautiful lakeside wedding, kicking it off with amazing DIY details all thought out and made by Candie… vintage frames and buttons to welcome guests to their tables, pastel colors, unique flower napkin holders, lavender sachets for the guests to take… flowers and mason jars… and the cutest little desserts… I loved the intimacy of this wedding… it was just a perfect celebration for them to celebrate how they wanted and have envisioned their day…and not to mention the rain which held out for us which opened up to an open sky for us to hold the ceremony outdoors…

I wish you many years of happiness, Candie + Dan, and hope you enjoyed the last of your celebrations… and before you head off to Europe… hopefully you’ll always be able to look back on your images and appreciate your special day you worked so hard for…. xoxo
